In theory, we want people to be able to say that they're hurting, or to reveal their anxieties. But guess what? We all have fears and anxieties. We all get traumatized in ways large and small. When everyone is sharing everything, then it causes others to get anxieties and be traumatized.

I think it's fine and good to be able to share when you're really hurting about something, or if you're being chased by a hell pig or a buffalo/tiger hybrid. But these days everyone is sharing how traumatized they are by having to empty the trash at work or having Starbucks run out of milk for their espresso. There needs to be a minimum bar for being traumatized, and anything below that bar is just dealing with life.

This may be hard for you to understand, but they're waiting for an update to Hamlin's condition before they make a decision they can't take back. If Hamlin dies, for example, there's going to be a funeral. That might interfere with scheduling the game. How would it look if he did later today, and they scheduled the game when the funeral was scheduled?

That's the worst-case scenario, and isn't that likely from the info we have, but it's not off the table yet.
