Terrible.

And one of those was our tricky first play of the season, correct?

That's the concerning part. We still need it to be a small facet of our offense and I honestly can't tell you how many times we've thrown it twenty plus yards so far this year. Very, very few times. The defense has to fear your ability to take a deep shot.

That's what opens things up in the better offenses.

If we had a quarterback that could keep the safeties in deep coverage, Jamaal Charles would have a record breaking, historic year.

Yes, that needs to increase.

But iirc, he did make one that distance on third and long from his own endzone in the fourth quarter, so apparently he's getting a little more daring

Nope. 15-yard throw.

That and a line that could figure their shit out.

Yeah, no.

You need to research that again. Ball was spotted at the 5, he threw it from 4 yards in the endzone to the 20

Someone actually did a big write up about how teams aren't actually keeping safeties in the box against us (I think it was about the cowboys game) yet.

Our ol has been pretty ghastly up to this point.

Line of scrimmage was the 5.

Pass caught at the 20.

15-yard throw.

Yes, he threw it from the 5, where the ball was spotted, out of a shotgun snap

You're ridiculous

Irrelevant. When they mark it down in the book, like how ESPN and PFF do splits, that goes down as a 15-yard throw.

Throw distance is measured from the line of scrimmage.

That's how it's properly measured. LOS to point of reception.

You have to explain everything to these homers.

Yes, it is.

But it was obviously a 20 yards throw that clay is trying to be disengenious about

No.

I told you Alex had attempted 4 throws of 20 or more yards this season.

That was not one of them.

KCrockaholic 09-22-2013 11:04 PM

I guess we should tack on an extra 3 yards to all of Jamaal's carries cause that's usually how far in the backfield he is at the point of a handoff.
