I can't see them cutting Gray. And I can't see them putting him ahead of Bell either. So that means TE #4 or practice squad.[/QUOTE]

I'd say Gray is TE4 at this point. I don't think Fortson would make it through waivers so PS is probably out of the question. Other teams look at film too.

There has to be something Thornhill can't do - like speed turn, or backpeddle or something since the injury - that Spags knows teams will figure out and exploit.

That's the only thing I can think of that makes sense for the way they're demoting him this year and last.

Waller wasnt 255 when he got moved to TE in 2016
He looked thin

The Chiefs ran 4 deep at TE on the 53 last year.

They gave Fortson a ton of snaps in the first preseason game. In my opinion, he either gets traded or he's TE4.

They gave Fortson and Gray the same amount of snaps.

I think they go 4 TE's and Fortson sticks. But i do think he'll be a roster bubble player during the season that could get dropped to PS if they need to sign someone because of injury or whatever.

I just don't think he's a lock for the roster like the hype suggests. I do think they could stash him on the PS, as they've been doing for the last two seasons.

Tweener type WR projects aren't some rarity in the NFL. Seemingly every team has project WR's that they like, that they stash.

They continuously hint that it's mental.

He simply may not be throwing his body around, or breaking down to tackle with aggression.

To me, when the coaches talk about him, it sounds like he's playing with hesitancy.

Thornhill himself has mentioned his need to get better at communicating and making calls. That could be it too.

Fortson should be compared to Chase Claypool

Sassy Squatch 08-18-2021 03:40 PM

He reminds me of a young Joe Pesci

RealSNR 08-18-2021 04:07 PM

Now I know why Mel Kiper ****s up all the time.

I don't think I've ever seen him chart legs and ass.

Start introducing that metric into NFL Draft talk. And don't just go by appearance, either. Get real data into this bitch. We're talking real measurements. Mass and/or size. How strong are the asses? How far can you bounce a quarter off a draft prospect's ass?

We gotta know this shit, man.

Kiimo 08-18-2021 04:12 PM

That's a wrap on St Joe Ass Camp

My favorite draft-ism is to say a thick-lower-bodied guy has “sand in his pants.”

I read that, like, once a week about Dontari Poe when he was a prospect.
