Geno Smith 3rd career game W 27-20 16-29 331 yards 3td 2 int Rating 89.9 I'm happy that Peyton guy didn't fall into our laps. I watched him his 3rd game and it was bad/ Black Bob |

I understand what you are trying to say, but you picked the wrong comparison and undermine your argument. |

Saying he sucked is ignorant. |
So here is my question.....Geno had one good game, which was yesterday and now we are back questioning why we didn't take him?
I'm all for saying you can't label him a bust yet, but on the same argument you can't label him a success based on one good appearance. |

When I quote the above post to keep it in context it's to prevent someone that lacks common sense from going "OMG Oh Noesss! You are saying Geno is going to be as good as Peyton!!!! OMG That's crazy! " Obviously I can't fix stupid every time. |
Geno had a total QBR of 85.8 in Sundays game. That's a scale that ranges from 0-100.
That was the 5th best in the NFL. |
Hey maybe Geno can become a good QB. I just don't think he'll ever be one of the greats. I don't see him becoming Brees, Rodgers, Manning, Brady, etc. And before someone comes in and says "But we didn't know all of those guys were going to become elite when they were rookies either", that's true, but the fact is they did become elite. I don't think Geno will. Of all the QBs we've passed on in our history (and there have been a lot) there were much better guys we passed up. I'm more upset we passed on Russell Wilson for example and that's just talking about recent history.
