One thing is for sure. The Jets done right in wanting this kid over Sanchez.

I'd take a sack of stale bread over Sanchez.

No kidding. Someone should dig around for threads about how bad Albert sucked when he was a rookie. I bet there are some around.

Someone should remind Albert of how he stopped sucking because he's doing it again.

Peyton Mannings 3rd career game. L 6-44 20-44 193yards 0 TD 2 INT's Rating of 39.3

Geno Smith 3rd career game W 27-20 16-29 331 yards 3td 2 int Rating 89.9

I'm happy that Peyton guy didn't fall into our laps. I watched him his 3rd game and it was bad/ Black Bob

Seriously....you are trying to compare Geno Smith to Payton Manning? There isn't even a remote comparison to these two if you are looking at them coming out of college.

I understand what you are trying to say, but you picked the wrong comparison and undermine your argument.

Albert only gave up 4 sacks as a rookie.

Saying he sucked is ignorant.

Mosbonian 09-23-2013 12:59 PM

So here is my question.....Geno had one good game, which was yesterday and now we are back questioning why we didn't take him?

I'm all for saying you can't label him a bust yet, but on the same argument you can't label him a success based on one good appearance.

You see. What I did to help the readers keep it in context was quote Bob's post about not like either QB in the 3rd game of their careers. If Bob has watched Peyton's 3rd game of his career he would have left with a much worse impressions one would think, yes?

When I quote the above post to keep it in context it's to prevent someone that lacks common sense from going

"OMG Oh Noesss! You are saying Geno is going to be as good as Peyton!!!! OMG That's crazy! "

Obviously I can't fix stupid every time.

BossChief 09-23-2013 01:01 PM

Geno had a total QBR of 85.8 in Sundays game. That's a scale that ranges from 0-100.

That was the 5th best in the NFL.

Hey maybe Geno can become a good QB. I just don't think he'll ever be one of the greats. I don't see him becoming Brees, Rodgers, Manning, Brady, etc. And before someone comes in and says "But we didn't know all of those guys were going to become elite when they were rookies either", that's true, but the fact is they did become elite. I don't think Geno will. Of all the QBs we've passed on in our history (and there have been a lot) there were much better guys we passed up. I'm more upset we passed on Russell Wilson for example and that's just talking about recent history.

Or here's a thought.. wait for it.... wait for it.... We understand he's a rookie, who is learning the game and growing and give it time before making any definitive judgements on a 3 game career. I know I know, that's just crazy talk but just a thought.

It's nice you are able to predict the future. Can you provide me with Wednesday's powerball numbers while you are at it?

Neither did anyone else back then. Care to build another straw man?

I'm not saying I can't be wrong.
