Because of the recent articles?

I'd put at least a little bit of stock into what he says. Had 3 years 48 million for Watkins way before it was public.

Burst?

I do, I just didn't know if he said that because of all the recent media reports on this trade.

Depends on what reports you lend credibility to.

NONE of them say it's about $; they all say SEA isn't budging in compensation. Don't forget, teams need to agree to that before SEA will allow them to even TALK to ET, so how can anyone think the issue is $? That literally doesn't make sense.

There have been reports that KC has already been in those contract talks.

Also, Schefter says the compensation is a 2nd for Earl.

It doesn't.

You're right. They don't usually let players talk money until compensation is agreed on

If we haven't agreedon trade compensation they aren't letting us talk to him about money details.

New World Order 09-30-2018 09:42 AM

I suppose draft position might be why Seattle doesn't want to accept just a second from us?

BossChief 09-30-2018 09:46 AM

I remember reading a few days ago that KC was talking contract with Earl, but Schefter said an hour ago that KC didn’t want to trade a 2, so those reports were probably wrong. Schefter is 100% credible.

Don't know if I ever shared this story but...

I saw Earl Thomas at a grocery store in Seattle couple months . I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.

He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

I’m up to 80/20 that KC gets him

The more I think about it, the more I’d be inclined to give them a second and fourth for ET.

That would mean that we turned Peters and a 6th round pick into Earl Thomas.

If Peters was not going to re-sign with us, then that sounds like a great deal. We also know that there were potential locker room concerns with Peters. He also didn’t have a flawless game, even though he was an elite ball hawk.
