Schildt needs to learn from the mistakes in this game

1) Cecil should not pitch again. Ever.
2) Hicks has to be bumped down in the pecking order. He's just too damned volatile.

That needs to be the last pitch Cecil ever throws in a Cardinals uniform.

You can’t hit a ball harder than Sheffler hit that home run.

Brett Cecil...

Norris looks like he could explode at any time too. When Martinez is focused, he’s a tsunami. Maybe being the closer to keep him focused might be the best thing for him and the team.

Martinez
Norris
Hudson
Hicks

IF he is focused, he is easily the best one inning pitcher we have in the bullpen. IF being the key word.

So you guys passed on Donaldson too?

Yep, I guess they didn't want to mess up the chemistry of the team and had no interest in a long term deal. But, we are just guessing. The Cardinals haven't said squat as to why they turned him down or didn't try to get Murphy.

They can play Adams at first against righties and Carp at third, Carp can can shift back to first and Wisdom can play third against lefties. A healthy Donaldson is a no brainer. Of course he would have been snapped up long ago without those question marks. Without Adams, I think they might have taken a shot at Donaldson.

Murphy made no sense to me, I don’t see any downside to adding him, even if they thought Wong would be back the next day.

I don't know if Adams should be starting at all right now. Ride it out with Munoz at third.

I’d rather have Munoz at 3B and Carp at 1B.

I like Munoz as a versatile guy who can fill in all over the field, I just think giving Big City some regular at bats has the potential to get him hot again. He really hasn’t had that opportunity in the last couple of months.

Go for the higher reward at least for a bit to see if he can figure it out again.

I’ve seen enough of Adams starting. He needs to be the LH PH off the bench. That’s it.

Weaver got so mind****ed trying to nibble against Votto that now he's terrified to go into the zone.
