All this talk about turnovers. I don't care any more. I don't care if Peters gets a turnover every damn game. If he isn't even going to attempt to tackle, then he's not a football player. Period.

Good riddance.

When it was needed, Peters made the tackle. He’s not ****ing Antoine Winfield

Ideally we kept him and kept him in line, but I didn't completelyhate that we dealt him. I just hate that we sold low.

Train wrecks like MP respond even worse to boots in their ass and whose to say this already hasn't been tried since year 1. Andy suspending him was the final boot in his ass(and they knew then after the big meltdown game they wanted him gone) and the only reason he responded to that afterwards is probably because his agent told him to knock it off if he wanted to get out of KC NOW !!.

Marcus "Farrakhan" Peters -those types don't change and only get worse over time. All the evidence say's Peters got worse every year which means he is "hot garbage" now that can still muster 'some value' in return BUT we hang on to him for another year or two and based on his behavioral history he will be "cold garbage" NOBODY wants and we get NOTHING !!

Really...you have to ask? It was all over the news...Clark wanted to keep him but the rest of the family out voted him to get rid of fat Scott. it was 3-1 to fire him.

I will repeat, this whole thing is a "Maybe".

Did he step out of the way on the 3rd and short in the Saturday game against the Chargers? Nope. Who made the tackle and almost had the strip to win the Titans game? Peters did.

Overall you have to admit he avoids more than he attempts tackles. That's what I see. He is just not a physical player and gets away with it most of the time because QB's and OC's avoid him. But if I'm an OC that has a great running game I am running over to his side every time.

I think it's fair to say Marcus resided on Doesn't Tackle For Shit Street. The only reason you seen him over on Run Stopping God is because he didn't want to get home before the new JayZ song was over.

There has to be a better forum than that one.

McVay on trade:

Rams' Sean McVay comments on Marcus Peters trade

Rams coach Sean McVay was asked about the team's recent trade for Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters at an awards ceremony in Kansas City Saturday.

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Friday that Kansas City finalized the trade agreement but terms of the deal have yet to be released. Since the move cannot become official until the new league year starts on March 14, the first-year coach was very mum on the deal.

"Right now, just because of where we're at in the league year, you can't make it official, so you have to be careful with some of the tampering," McVay told The Kansas City Star, when asked about the All-Pro cornerback. "But in a quick nugget, he's a great player."

Since Peters entered the NFL in 2015, no player has more interceptions (19) or passes defensed (55), per NFL Research.

The fact that the Chiefs were willing to move on from the two-time Pro Bowler should come as no surprise given his behavior on and off the field. The Rams believe in what they're building in Los Angeles and think he's worth the risk.

"These are grown men, and it starts with the mutual respect that exists, where they know it's about developing and building relationships," said McVay. "If we're going to ask our players to be coachable, we've got to be coachable as coaches as well. That displays an ownership and an accountability that we try to all have and makes the players more receptive to the messages we try to implement.

"They know exactly what the expectations are, what our standards are, and they know what it is to do it the right way."

Defensive tackle Aaron Donald -- also at the awards ceremony -- knows that his coach has what it takes to handle difficult personalities.

"He's a coach -- he'll get after you when you do something wrong," Donald said about McVay. "Don't let that smile fool you. I've seen that man change."

Hopefully a change of scenery is all Peters needs to get back on the right track.

I've dealt with people like peters at work. I run a run a group of welders at a manufacturing facility. I had one guy who occasionally displayed his full potential as a high quality welder at a fast rate. When first hired, he was "hungry" to prove his worth and convinced me to bump him up in pay. After a while, it was obvious why a talented welder was unemployed in the first place. His life outside work (drugs and alcohol), directly affected his work ethics and just general attitude toward leadership and coworkers. Over time, we were forced to let him go for the better of the line as a whole.

Although an entirely different scenario, this kind of related to Peters and the Chiefs organization. While Peters excels at his skilled profession, his attitude is detrimental to the team as a whole.
