It’s confusing bc the guy has 29.5 sacks and 59 QB hits in the last 3 years. That’s legitimately good, and now he gets to be in a good spot playing with Von again. Maybe it’s bc he’s turning 31? |
He probably priced himself out, I'm guessing? Or wanted something long term and no team would give him that, so he waited awhile until a team met him in the middle for a 1-year?
It IS a good signing. The Chiefs have plenty of bodies at DE, but not much veteran presence-- Omenihu has the most NFL experience. Dunlap really came through for us last year, and it'd be nice to have someone like that to lean on if injuries get vicious or the young guys aren't meeting expectations. Floyd would have been nice, but that's just how the money works I guess |

Floyds a good signing for them it also does highlight though that their young pass rushers are floundering, you don't go out and get Miller and Floyd if you are happy with guys like Rousseau and Epenesa.

You can never have too many pass rushers. Their defense changed when Von went down last year. They had to legitimate pass rush threat. Having Floyd gives them another one. This is a good signing for them.
