They don't know how to handle a perennial powerhouse.
Saying "yeah, they're the best team in the AFC and should be right there in the SB again" doesn't draw ratings. Why on gods green earth would you let Chris Jones walk? If not for Aaron Donald (who's gonna end up being one of the best defensive players in history) Jones is a defensive player of the year candidate. |
How about
"The Chiefs should try to win now as much as possible because as we've seen across the league, over the entirety of the history of the league, teams rise and fall. The Chiefs aren't going to be this good forever, whether they keep draft picks or not. It's really ****ing hard to stay this good for however long. Lets sit back and enjoy the best Chiefs football period we've ever seen". |

I’m way less interested in signing a 29 year old safety to a big deal than the second best DT in the league.

Having an enormous snake dragging on the ground like that can’t be good for one’s explosion…. |

“Financially speaking, Chris Jones is the one they probably should’ve walked on. And not because of football, but because the Frank Clark move was made because it had been 50 years. Do whatever it takes to get it done, but after that it’s belt-tightening time.” Then he goes on to say that with Mahomes and weapons they’ll always have a chance, but they’ll have to let the defense be worse as a result. References Spags drawing up creative blitzes and such to creat pass rush. |
Starts right around the 25:00 minute mark of the conversation with Boal.
Admittedly, I didn’t listen to the entire show. I’m sure there is some hedging going on with his words. |

I don't agree with Soren on this draft / management topic.
But let's back way the **** up on comparing him to Kietzman, that's night and day. Kietzman would advocate getting rid of Mahomes because he had a baby out of wedlock. |
