You blame Self for not pulling their starting guard at half for a guy who has never proven the ability to consistently do anything productive? It would be one thing if Tharpe was playing well, but he's 9 for his last 33 and still is making bad turnovers and playing poor defense. He's not exactly the answer here unless he dramatically improves his play (like, say, he did in December).
If they are to go on any type of run at the end of the season, they are going to need EJ to start playing better. He can't do that from the bench behind a guy who isn't ready to start.
