You forgot about Jeff Burton letting Tony Stewart pass him for 3rd place in last weeks race.

Letting a faster car pass isn't the same thing as wrecking the leader.

Not sure he was faster....Burton let off the throttle in the last turn and lt Stewart pass, and even said so in an article.

I'm not saying anyone will wreck a leader, but I could see where teams would find a way to help other teams.

That may happen. Wrecking the leader intentionally won't.

So how does this work? Will they call the race if it goes on too long?

They can't, the race can't be called unless they're past the halfway point.

I think they'll finish this race if it takes 'til Christmas to do it.
