id love to have a qb as good as manning. really i would. especially compared to the stiffs weve trotted out there for years and years.

but unfortunately i would get pissed when he choked it away every year

Mecca 02-08-2010 02:32 AM

These Manning arguments are just the same things said over and over. I don't even care at this point, he's an elite player at his position.

Hootie 02-08-2010 02:32 AM

ok I'm done not even hitting refresh done done done done done

L.A. Chieffan 02-08-2010 02:34 AM

manning is the greatest qb of all time. completing a simple 15 yard pattern should and always is a breeze to him.

except when it mattered.

thats a choke

I want to be done with this freaking topic

Peyton Manning basically sat out the 2nd quarter...

and he had 1.5 drives in the 3rd quarter...1 of them resulting in a TD...

the reason the Colts had such a high T.O.P. WAS...like usual...

every one of their drives was super clock consuming...I think they punted once (Garcon drop)...

Peyton Manning's TEAM managed to put up 7 points in 3 quarters...I'll give you taht.

You know why Manning sat out the second quarter? The Colts had 2 possessions in the second quarter. They managed 6 plays. If Mr. "Flawless" was able to move the ball on that first possession, then maybe they could have taken their momentum from the first quarter and put the game away. Then, how about the end of the quarter? As great as Manning is, you think he could have managed a first down to keep the Saints from getting the ball back and scoring a field goal. But no. He went 3 and out, allowing the Saints a short field and 3 points that they should never have had a chance to get.

L.A. Chieffan 02-08-2010 02:36 AM

there have been many elite players in all sports that just couldnt do it when it mattered most. shrank in the spotlight. no big deal, just is what it is

Mecca 02-08-2010 02:36 AM

It's really not his fault that Garcon dropped a 3rd down pass that hit him right in the chest.

L.A. Chieffan 02-08-2010 02:36 AM

no he didnt billlay stop making shit up

Mecca 02-08-2010 02:37 AM

Manning isn't even my favorite QB in the league but I do think he gets ridiculous flack sometimes.

L.A. Chieffan 02-08-2010 02:37 AM

oh and that miami dallas series was the biggest ref con job in history. wade had like 295 more FTAs than any maverick. IF GAME IF GAME IF GAME

Mecca 02-08-2010 02:38 AM

Dwayne Wade shot like 30 FT's in one game.

The Saints d-line was "pwnt" by the Colts. Whats your point?

Colston dropped a crucial pass to. It's part of the game. Shit happens. That doesn't excuse Manning from throwing a terrible pick in a crucial moment in the game.

Im going to bed too. I don't know why the **** I'm arguing about Manning in the 1st place.
