Oh, BTW, That FB thread of Barry's is really pissing me off. |
On the whole S issue, there are going to be some good ones hit the FA market this year. I remember seeing somewhere Reggie Nelson would be a FA, as well as Michael Griffin. Go get one of those guys.
And we have to resign Bowe. He is as close to that next level as he has ever been. The stupid drops seem to be over. He is quickly becoming a wr that 3 or 4 times a game you just throw him the ball. Open or not. W We just need a guy who can put it in a spot he doesn't have to stop to catch it or stand on his head. |
At this point we are too talented to get the 1st pick. We need to just open the draft pick wallet and go all in and get the guy.

Vikings could be interested, they could just trade Ponder, rookie contracts are easily moveable now.
|
You have to worry about those teams because even if they trade the pick there's no guarantee the Chiefs would be the trading partner.

so what's the obvious Chiefs move? Picking Kalil moving Albert to LG and cutting Lilja?
|
The Viking's situation is a lot like someone who has just landed a new position and they are trying to figure out if they like this job or not. Then, the phone rings and their dream job is on the other line. Of course you switch positions.

Next week is a must lose.

If we draft Andrew Luck he makes atleast 5-6 players automatically better on offense. Bowe, Breaston and Baldwin obviously. Imagine what Charles could do with 7 in the box. And the guy he makes the best is Moeaki. Have you seen the way Luck makes those Standford TE's look. It's a thing of beauty. |
If the Vikings get the first pick they will absolutely be interested in Luck. They reached for Ponder in the first because they probably thought that he was the best player available in a position of need and they wouldn't have gotten him if they waited til the 2nd. You never intend on being the #1 pick the next year. When Ponder gets his shot this year he will either win them games, in which case they wont get the #1 pick, or he'll be just as useful as McNabb. Even if they don't get a first round pick for him, which they wont, they would be dumb as hell to trade the pick.
