I'm good with taking steps, so long as they don't lead no where, which is exactly what the organization is currently doing.

For the first time since 1989, I feel like the Chiefs are in good hands. I just hope they don't prove me wrong. |

I'll give you one thing, dude; you've been the voice of moderation and optimism this off-season.
Hope you're right and I'm wrong. |

Honestly, it's what I'm doing too. No point in getting all pissed oversomething I can't control that was meant for entertainment. Therefor, I'm true fanning up. |

I assume that Reid will be a major upgrade offensively and I assume that Sutton will be a major upgrade defensively. The roster is most definitely more talented today than in January and many of the best players can sleep easier knowing their teammates will return next years. There's definitely a level of comfort amongst guys like Charles and Albert and Moeaki, knowing that Bowe will return. I believe the AFC will have a down year. The Raiders won't be much improved, if at all, the Chargers won't be much improved, if at all even though Denver is signing guys right and left, I doubt they'll win 13 games next season. The AFC isn't that weak. So, 3-3 in the division at worst, then two to three others out of five at home. If Reid and Dorsey and Sutton are what we think they are, then 8-8, 9-7 seems about right. |

But I've seen a few regime changes in my time as a Chiefs fan and I've usually been right. That doesn't mean I'm right this time but I've got a better feeling than I had with Gunther, Vermeil, Herm and especially *****/Haley. Time will tell. Keep in mind though that as a 12 year old, I thought that Marv Levy was going to lead the Chiefs to the playoffs. Turns out, it was one NFL team too soon. |
I'm starting to become a little down on Sutton the more I read about him.
I'm expecting a lot more 2gap principles out of base fronts than originally anticipated. |

It's that I understand why these moves were made, can deal with it, see it and hope that they continue to build this roster with the goal of a solid 2013 season. There's no going for broke this year. There's no single player on the market that can change the fortunes of the Chiefs and there's no single QB in free agency or the draft that immediately changes the fortunes of the franchise. So with that in mind, I get it and I'm fairly confident they're moving the franchise forward. Moving the franchise forward may sound easy, but look how ***** ****ed up an already ****ed up franchise even further. |

I remain skeptical however. |
