It's unanswerable. That's why teams keep falling for the same backup QB trade trap. They see a backup do well for successful teams and try to replicate that success on their teams. Most of the time the entire experiment goes to hell.

Yeah. He might be good. It's possible. It's certainly happened before. But very often? No, not at all.
