I'm still not sure what I really think of this trade yet, but how can anyone be batshit upset? The alternative to this is the Packers model (nothing but draft picks), and they've basically been a failure considering the QB play they lucked into.

And **** comparisons to NE, they are the absolute outlier to everything. Generally speaking, it's good to be aggressive and make bold moves. Never forget we ARE "built through the draft" - Mahomes, Hill, Kelce, Jones - but it's really hard to do it all that way. Especially with picks like 29th instead of 9th.

Wait, what? A 1st and one of our 2nd round picks for this guy? That's like what you give up to get a total stud. I admit I don't watch much of the NFC, but is this guy that good? C'mon CP, sell this deal to me. PLEASE

And in 3 seasons, we can get out of the Clark deal judging by early reports.

Also, what's the point of cap space if you don't use it?

Cap space doesn't win championships. Talent does.

Since i joined in '05 ive never understood CP's over infatuation with cap space.

Sometimes it feels like all ya'll care about is Clark saving money.

Thank god Clark is more interested in winning a Championship than some of our fans...

If that was true, Kareem Hunt would be lining up in the backfield this year.

Just an FYI Clark and Mathieu are really good friends

Ok. So Frank Clark is worth as much as Houston,Ford and a 1st round pick? Impressive.

I don't think they're paying him 40 mil/yr, I do believe it's 105 over 5 yrs. This gets the cost of rushers from 37-38 mil (DF 17tag +JH 21) down to somewhere around 25-30 mil for Clark + Okafor + Ogbah.

No LB? We at least need some JAG-level talent at LB along with hoping that Hitchens can return to previous form..

A 1st , A 2nd next year, and swapping 3rd round picks for the rights to give the guy 105 million dollars

to me that seems like a **** boy move

And had that video not surfaced, he would still be a Chief.

Players caught on video assaulting women get cut. That's the NFL. The Chiefs did nothing that any other team wouldn't have done.

We also gained an elite player.

No more mediocrity, gotta give Veach credit here.

This.

And the Draft dudes around here say that this is a bad, bad year for LB's.

Sounds like we'll have to go into camp with hope and prayers for the LB group.

The offense could regress significantly and still be elite
