Yeah when you take a kick return to the house to go up by 18 in the first half and see the flag right when you cross the goal line. You know it's gonna be "one of those kinds of games". And holy shit was it ever. Then you see the replay and it's a guy 8 yards behind the action, facing the other end zone, who got pulled down in an irrelevant push and shove match, that was what caused the penalty. Holy cow what a sham.

Great return by Pringle though. He had a gear I didn't know he had. Shame the refs don't allow kick or punt returns anymore. It's an exciting part of the game they're actively trying to get rid of. No Fun League.

Three times! He expressly thanked the officiating three times!

I saw that...he knows. Everybody knows....let them have their fun.

He's an NFL Inc. angle...Texans win next week in the early match-up which forces the KC/Denver game to be for HFA...Chiefs win today and that game is moot...a ratings dud.

Officiating doesn't get this overt against their top superstar without an agenda...

Judging by how the NFL has engineered this season...this follows the drama script.

Potential Burrow/Mahomes rematch in the AFCCG?

“KC 62% of the tickets & 58% of the $. The red flag was the reverse line movement when KC dropped to -3.5.”

“Only professional groups can move the line against KC, Joe Public loves Mahomes.””

I do however believe there are points of emphasis and team's tendencies that are discussed leading up to games. That can lead to refs being overly aggressive on certain things. (grabby DB's)

Most times, including today, it comes down to Ref's just being bad at their job and being influenced by home crowds.

I was thinking that after the Super Bowl. The AFCCG got chippy, so the NFL says to watch the Chiefs' chippyness, defensive holding, DPI.... and they did that in the SB, and of course completely ****ed it up.

Whether the NFL says that because they really didn't want the chippyness or because they wanted Brady to win or because there's some other grand conspiracy... whatever, but I don't think the NFL would want the refs to do it so horribly.

As far as today... WTF knows. I would like to think the NFL doesn't want to see that level of involvement with the refs deciding the outcome, OTOH the refs don't seem to have any accountability and it's not like the NFL even says they care.

Today was a good reminder that going into the playoffs, don't get too excited.

It makes it much easier to explain away the ****ery. Plausable deniability.

Can someone ask eDave if he knows why they gave us this crew at the last minute? TIA

Here’s what gets me. At the end of the game, do the refs swallow their whistles or not?

Remember our Hail Mary against the Chargers? Our receivers were tackled well before the r ball arrived. Obvious pass interference that likely changes the outcome of the game.

Today? Questionable call on Sneed (hands to the face) decides the game.

So the very obvious penalty is ignored, because it’s the end of the game. The refs don’t want to affect the outcome.

The questionable penalty is made, because the refs can’t just let them play.

Just pick one and be consistent.

Chuckles...I'm assuming that last second officiating crew can be considered a "professional group".

I literally think it comes down to,if you call PI in a hail Mary people are going to bitch you have then 50 yards etc...handed them the win...yet at the same time when Cincy is that close in their minds "they already won"

That crew wasn't to letting Cincy lose no matter how dumb their coach was.

So if you’re a DC and calling a defense against a Hail Mary, would you just tell your DBs to tackle everyone? I mean, might as well.

You probably could, it's just something they won't call.

Yeah, if it's a hands to the face in the first quarter, it's the same at the end of the game.

I'd like to see the hold and defensive hold at the end... don't think they showed either of them.
