Wish Jones had the same view as Mike Evans, who is having negotiation problems with Tampa but Evans said he will not hurt the team with a holdout this season. His agents set a deadline of next weekend to finalize a deal with Tampa. If nothing gets done, he will just play the final year of his contract this season and become a free agent next year.

With so many national sports pundits crying "pay him!" I don't mind a beloved Chief putting a little bit of heat on Chris for this bullshit. He was good natured and made it all about wanting them to win together. If someone wants to make more of it than that, it's just the price of being the best team in the league.

Sounds like Veach caved and moved off Jones market value at around $25M. What, maybe he has now came up to around $27M?

Also like many have already said, this could be all about structure and guarantees
