Arenado is completely washed. He's a negative defensive 3B now, and his desire to try to go oppo has taken away any power he once had. He's got some of the worst bat speed in the league, and he's not squaring up anything.
Him walking after '22 would have been a blessing |
Mo or Paton? Who is worse at their job?
|
I have loved Arenado since I watched him as a rookie at Coors but the best thing for the Cards long term is to let Goldy and Nolan walk once their contracts are over. Probably won't trade Goldy in July unless we lose every game in June, so let him walk. Perhaps some contender will want Nolan in the next few years for "veteran leadership".

Marsh is the filthiest looking mother****er since Corey Hart.

Bryce Harper contract. Good times when DJ' nut destroyed Prison Douche on that one.
|
Keynan Middleton is done for the year. He has a 6 Million dollar option for next season. He didn't throw a single pitch this year. Mo will pick up that option and try to make him an outfielder.

I was getting concerned they were going to play just well enough to miss the playoffs and save everyone's jobs. Whew that doesn't look like its going to happen. |

That's one of the all-time head scratchers right there... |
Ha -- okay, fun with similarity scores:
Bryce Harper - most similar batter through age 30: Barry friggen Bonds (and age 28 and 29 as well) Jorge Soler through 30?: Jonny Gomes. At 28 and 29? Dan Pasqua. Yeah - same guy. |

If I remember right he was using some hilariously small sample size to make his "comparison " |
