Looked like Bowe was open over the middle but he chose to throw it to FB in the flat for a 1 yard loss. A good QB doesn't do that. Cassel also made a poor decision at the end of the half. We could have scored points there and been in better position to win the game at the end. I could point to a few others, as well. Cassel made some plays in this game. I won't deny that. But when the team needed him to make the plays in OT, he failed. He's too inconsistent.

The fact that Thomas Jones saw the field on the second play in OT was inexcusable. You can still be somewhat conservative but you need to have the right personnel on the field, especially in OT. TJ has been good this season overall, but today he was doing his best LJ impression.

Not knowing you, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and figure you would not have gloated. That being said you have to forgive some of us. This isn't something we have been able to do for some time. Great game(sloppy and poorly officiated), but fun to watch and honestly I'm physically exhausted. That game in KC is going to be fun. My post was directed at Championship, a Raiders troll. I don't mind other Raider fans but there were a couple guys really showing their ass during the week and today. It's fine, it's all part of the innernets.

Common now you have to expect that's going to happen. We had to deal with the same shit all week from Hali homers talking about how he was going to dominate our Division II rookie LT.

What, exactly, in most did you find to be BS? Oh, and let's also not forget the series late in the game where Cassel threw about 2 or 3 passes in a row that were off target. Thrown on target and the Chiefs probably had a 1st down and chew more clock.

This was a really bad game by both teams. It was played terribly, officiated horribly and we still found a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. I lost 3 hours of my life watching that abortion.

This was possible the worst officiated game I have seen. Both teams were given multiple chances top put points on the board. We just took advantage when it mattered most. Any other year the 4th Qtr would have been a lock for opposing teams. Not so much this year.

Cassel led the team from behind and got them the lead. He then got the ball in a situation where they needed to get the first down to ice the game, and he got the ball to Bowe who, once again, came up with the drop.

In the overtime, Cassel got the ball to his receivers. One couldn't shake his defender, and the other couldn't even hold on to the damned ball.


Blaming Cassel is about as idiotic as it gets. That "A good QB doesn't do that" bullshit ramps it up to even higher levels, considering that all QBs do what you're bitching about.

It was just a weird game all around. These refs will have some questions to answer once the league office reviews the game tape.

While I won't complain tons about Cassel during regulation (he is what he is) but in OT, that third down pass was beyond stupid. You don't throw it to your slow lumbering TE 2 yards behind the sticks unless there is no one within 15 yards of him. Not to mention others were open beyond the sticks if he would have done a half-assed receiver progression.

Play calling remains a huge problem from game-to-game.

We had chances to end the game. Bowe makes the catch instead of the ball bouncing off his chest.Knock the ****ing ball down instead of trying for personal stats with an INT and we win. It was moronic stupid BS. I don't have the issues others have with our coaching staff as much. Special teams starting the 2nd half was a ****ing joke. Even the FG we made but had an offsides penalty. We had 17 ****ing points pulled off the board in this game only 7 of which we got back.

That tight end is about 500 feet tall. He's got to be able to catch that ball and fall forward. Of course, if he'd run the route better and deeper, that would have removed even the fall as an issue.

I agree, the Refs were equally bad for both teams. They really looked inept out there at times. Probably the worst, officiated game I can remember, that I watched all the way through. Still, Oakland made the plays when they had to, and KC didnt. Sad, but true! :-(

That was emotionally draining to say the least. If one were to try to assign blame, I would say there is plenty to go around.
McGraw dropping a pick, Berry with a block in the back on a punt return for a TD, Bowe and Moeaki, Cassel, Weis, Haley, just off of the top of my head (which still hurts).

The game was poorly called, but there were shitty calls both ways. All I can take from this is that if I were told we would be 5-3 and in first place after 8 games, I would have taken it.

Pope makes me miss the days of Jason Dunn, a TE that could block and catch a pass here and there.

Problem with that route was the Pope was running sideways with a defender draped on him, it would have been tough to get the first even if he caught the ball. That pattern can work if no one picks him like, like a pass to a fullback in the flat. But the second Cassel saw a defender close by, he should have scanned the field, others were open past the sticks. I am sure there is a pic in the Gif'd up thread showing that, knowing the Horsey.

Dunn wasn't flashy but he was solid. Good player. On the play in question I believe Bowe was ahead of his man crossing the middle. We're gradually getting better but we're handicapped at the QB position.

It appeared to be another of those plays that Cassel has made up his mind the moment the ball is snapped where he's going to throw it.

I dunno, maybe Weis has taught him to do that, to eliminate sacks and minimize chances Cassel will make the wrong read, and they figure more often than not Cassel will complete the pass and they'll get positive yardage.

But it makes for frustrating moments when you see open guys elsewhere, where if he had just taken another second or two to scan the field he could've had a big play.

I just rewatched it and I think he looked left as a fake and then immediately turned to the right to get it to Pope. I didn't see any scanning. Maybe there was supposed to be something open quickly on the left? Still looked like a fake left but going to the right to me.

How is it personal stats? If he picks that, which 99.9 times out of 100 he does, the game is over. Ford just made a good play, but flowers definitely shouldve held onto that ball.
