Is this true? We can celebrate in Wrigley, on their mound, take pictures etc. like they did to us a few years ago at Bush?

Glorious weekend to be in Chicago.

They've taken the lead in the ninth AGAIN! LMAO

Bye bye baby bears.

First four game sweep at Wrigley since 1921.

It's been a wonderful summer for St. Louis sports.

Where did that ****in pussy JD go?
|
Someone was talking bad about Yadi. He had 3 more hits today that included 2 more RBIs.

Brewers are now 16 games over .500 and yet still have a -2 run differential for the year.

Damn, wish I could've gone to tonight's game. Wainwright's having himself a nice game and Yadi hit a dinger.
|
And ozuna sh*ts the bed. Again.
|
Why the Christ can't the Cards play solid D from beginning to end?
|
GREAT JOB, WAINNIE. Now you should go in that dugout and kick the crap out of Ozuna for getting you in that situation in the first place.
|
Magic number of Cardinals wins or Brewers losses needed to clinch the division is 3 with 5 to go.

If this team plays bad defense, what was the Matheny years? Actually, I dont want to think about those ever again. Nevermind.

Cubs have rolled over and died.

How do we feel about Flaherty? I think he's pretty darned good.
|

Flaherty with a no hitter through 5 innings with 70 pitches. So much for him being too tired for this start after throwing 118 pitches last start. |
Leake is being a real pain in the ass, though.
Too bad they had Ozuna played so perfectly. He hit that DP ball hard. Yadi's double would have scored two. :banghead: |
The baseball gods took a giant shit on us that inning.

Bye-bye no hitter.

Andrew Miller is ass.

Carp back to looking like a little leaguer up there. Pathetic AB with 1st/3rd 1 out.
|
What a shitty loss. I wonder if they broke a record for stranding base runners? :shake:

His numbers are bad - his actual performance has somehow been even worse. This team has $18 million in free agent lefthanded relievers in the organization and somehow the only lefty that is occasionally worth a damn is Tyler Webb. I'm just so tired of hearing how Miller has "really come on in the 2nd half..." No, his stuff has actually backed up. He's still working at 92 on a good day and his slider still has no depth. His K rate has cratered and his walk rate has gone up. The only thing that has saved him (sorta) is a ridiculously low .217 BABIP in the 2nd half. The guy's as dog-ass as he was to start the year and I can tell because I actually watch him throw the baseball. He isn't good at it. For all the wailing about Carlos Martinez - Andrew Miller is the guy y'all should truly be climbing on. He's actually bad. |
Got all the minor leaguers in there today. Lose today and the brewers sweep the Reds, it’s a 1 game lead. We were all set if ****ing Miller can keep the ball down. Now we are going to have to maybe sweep the Cubs again after losing 2/3 in Arizona. Burn a Flaherty start instead of starting him game 1 against the Braves.
|
This shit could still easily go sideways. :shake: Couldn't have picked a worse time for last night's abortion.

I’ll still take this over bad defense, base running and a Matheny coached team. |

Just lose baby!

This ****ing team deserves to be in the wild card game.

almost wish they went tits up this year.

For all the bitching about other guys, it's Junior Fernandez and John Gant that have crushed this team. They teamed up to swing the 9th to the Brewers, costing the Cardinals two games there, then Gant imploded last night and Fernandez today. That's four games in the standings.

Oh look, the Brewers are getting shit done by beating the teams they're supposed to beat. 6-0.

Goddamn man we just completed a 5-2 road trip and swept the Cubs in 4 games in Chicago for the first time in 40 years. Yea we likely won't win the WS, but **** me if thats your only criteria to enjoy a season then you are a miserable **** like PGM. I get it the team has flaws but **** me man, we aren't a shitty team. |
Since when does the dbacks get to snack on us?

Goddamn Brewers won again. ****. :banghead:
While this is obviously deeply annoying, you can't help but admire them. Their best player goes down and they respond with a 9-1 run and seven game winning streak, and at this point I absolutely wouldn't bet against them winning the division outright. Impressive as hell. Dammit. |

Madden said today the Cubs are shutting down a bunch of starters for the season and knows the Brewers will be pissed but he doesn't give a shit. :D |
Quote:
If Miller just keeps the ball down we win that game, dont play 19 innings, we go into the weekend only needing 1 win and not burning Flaherty. But, How many games did we give away waiting for Carp to get right? How many missed opportunities? etc. At least they control their own destiny. |
Quote:
We shall see. I just want to see a real life post season series for the first time in too many years. Postseason baseball is the shit. I dont expect to win the WS but I know Mo isn't going anywhere now so I am going to enjoy what I can instead of bitching about every little thing. |

Well, the only regulars that are actually healthy right now are Schwarber, Castellanos, and Heyward. So it's not like he would be sticking it to the Brewers by not playing Rizzo or Bryant with sprained ankles, Baez with a fractured thumb, Contreras still nursing a hamstring, though I suspect Contreras will probably play at least 1 game. The rest of the team aren't regulars.
The Cubs lost the last 2 against the Reds before getting swept by the Cardinals and now are about to get swept by the Pirates for their 9th straight loss, so if the Brewers some how pass you up for the division you ****ing deserve to be in the WC. |
