I guess they could still have a home playoff game if they win and then win the coin flip if they play the bengals |

Feels like it is simply a waste of time to be mad about them not playing the game. It really was never going to go down like that. Once you accept that this feels like the best path forward.

Allen's going to be like Vietnam flashback dog sniffing cupcakes in the redzone and you know Belichick is bummed to hear that Hamlin is on the road to recovery.
So this could get interesting. |

And if the Bills had somehow beaten the Bengals, this is a much better outcome for us. If you had told me when the game was 7-3 that we were given the option of playing that game out and taking the outcome OR having a chance to beat the Raiders and get a bye independent of the outcome of Bills/Bengals while potentially sacrificing a home AFCCG for a neutral site, I would've taken that in a heartbeat. That's the calculus. |
Hell, the Bengals got ****ed worse than we did. They didn't even include a provision that a potential divisional with Cincinnati and Buffalo be played at a neutral site and it's literally impossible for them to get the #1 seed without strings attached. It would've been if they won the cancelled game and we lost to the Raiders.
