Moving forward, I have to assume we will see KJ move to the 5 and a lot more minutes for scrubs like Timberlake/Braun. It’s gonna get ugly.

Yeah, it’s too bad there wasn’t a person, say a head coach, who could have rested an injured player in a meaningless game.

Wait, did McCullar reinjure himself?

Yes. He came out because his knee was hurting.

It would be at karma moment for a kid who turned his back on his former school!

Tech fans being scum of the earth is nothing new, I suppose.

So the kid transfers to a heated rival (probably got a nice paycheck and this was before NIL), and you call Tech fans scum???

The FBI investigated the true scum and btw good luck with that 6 seed in the tourney!!!

For a THIRD time because they won't rest him.

McCullar is a good soldier. He should be super pissed how hes been utilized. Not only has it affected his draft stock but its lowered our chance to win a title.

I'm sure he's the first to ever transfer to a different school.

I wouldn't call 43-8 a heated rivalry

Tech fans being stupid is also nothing new either (McCullar transferred in the NIL era; if Tech wanted to keep him, they simply could have offered more).

Let's be honest, McCullar has no draft stock. He can't shoot and you need to be able to do that to play for any period of time in the NBA.

Still no excuse for what Self has done with him over the past month, including clearly pressuring him to play these meaningless games through the media (his comments about McCullar potentially missing the rest of the season can't be viewed as anything but that).

I think you can make an argument that this is Self's worst coaching job with this program. Bad recruiting/transfer decisions that destroyed their depth (which is partially luck, I grant), but then he proceeded to drive the starters into the ground during the conference season well beyond the point they had any chance to win the B12 culminating with him leaving his best player in to get injured in the 2nd half of a massive blowout in a meaningless game.
