Wrong. Players can speak. It’s the team, meaning coaches/FO/owner, that isn’t allowed to speak to the player.

From the rule book:

b) NFL Players. No club, nor any person employed by or otherwise affiliated with a club,
is permitted to tamper with a player who is under contract to or whose exclusive
negotiating rights are held by another club

Dude if you think they can control players talking, then you’re out of your mind.

It’s unenforceable. Nothing will come out of this, hence why it was reported with no secrecy.
