Yeah his employment with the Chiefs

Can anyone tell me why we're talking about Robert Quinn as if he isn't just a better, older version of Dee Ford?

No, just the locker room and the defensive scheme, apparently.

Just happy to get anything for him. He was being released had he Rams not come to the table.

But I can’t confirm actual compensation. They’ve very clearly been instructed not to leak this, to Terez or anyone else.

But all things considered, I’d say they feel the compensation is fair. It won’t match his talent and production, but that’s only part of the equation.

Astounding.

Considering the character issues the team is otherwise willing to deal with, WTF did Peters do, murder some hookers?

New World Order 02-25-2018 06:23 PM

They knew he was batshit crazy before they draft him. He was kicked off the team at Wash.

Not like they should be surprised by his character issues.

Andy Reid could learn from his protege Doug Peterson in regards to making it work with high maintenance players.

Doug Pederson and the Eagles had no problem trading for Jay Ajayi who had his immaturity issues with the Dolphins because he knew that Ajayi could help his team win and that sometimes you need to deal with high maintenance players for the sake of winning.

Ajayi was the Eagles second leading rusher in the Super Bowl.

obviously Reid thinks it was the players, not scheme or coaching.

I disagree but I’d rather have Reid here than some player he doesn’t want.

Good ****ing grief. Peters isn't just immature. Kelce is an example of a player that's immature.

Every person with character concerns shouldn’t be grouped together. The problems with Peters are different than anyone else’s, and as talented as he was, he was affecting culture and the decision was made.

Reid can handle guys with character concerns. I think he’s more than proven that.

It's not like there is a 'head case' measuring stick out there. You take into consideration what YOU KNOW and decide if you want to take the risk. You never know for sure what you're dealing with until you actually have to deal with it.
It appears Peters is just like one of those hot chicks who seem to have a few issues. Thing is, 99% of the time if they keep the serious issues tucked away until you get into a relationship with them. Then BAM! Bitches be crazy. So are some Cornerbacks.

The point is the Dolphins felt they could no longer deal with Jay Ajayi because he was a supposed team cancer and traded him away to the Eagles who promptly went on to win a Super Bowl with him.

As Sean McVay said, team culture and coaching staff are a big part of effectively dealing with high maintenance players and supposed "team cancers".

Are you suggesting that Marcus Peters supposed "bad attitude" hurt the Chiefs more last year than Alex Smith's "inconsistent" (to put it nicely) QB play?

This may be the stupidest comment in this thread...

I can point to multiple games the Chiefs lost last year in large part because of Alex Smith's shitty play.

Point to a single game the Chiefs lost last year directly because of Marcus Peters' supposed "bad attitude".

Even the Jets game you can't point to because Steven Nelson's 18 pass interference/defensive holding plays are more to blame.

Well, sample size of one and an NFL head coach with a history of one season. **** it - I’m convinced this is easy! If we had done more trust falls with Peters or let him take Park Place in intra-squad games of monopoly, all would be different.

Troll on, troll.

Good thing Smith is gone.
