Good. Was hoping they'd get that done. DT seems to be a position we're really thin at and not getting much chatter about.

Probably a VSB deal as well - will reduce his cap hit.

Yep basically parasites.

Mike Williams on a JuJu-ish incentive laden contract would be a fantastic get.

Carton is as much of a clown as Florio is a jealous d-bag.

They don't have the money for Sneed so that really doesn't affect us. Possibly even helps.

Yeah, he didn’t leave a lot of room for error on that

Would a Mike Williams deal be like the Russell Wilson situation? The more he makes on a new deal means less that the Chargers would be on the hook for? Because if so...he could sign here for cheap and **** over his old team if he really wanted too.

Sassy Squatch 03-14-2024 01:11 PM

Mecole Hardman has missed 16 games the last two years due to injury. Mike Williams has missed 23 games due to injury his entire 7 year career. Just some nom noms for thought.

Yeah was thinking it might help.

It is. He will count just $1.29m on our cap.

This is great news for us regarding Sneed.

Any guaranteed money they owe him would be offset, yes

Yeah, what's missing here is that Williams played a lot of games hurt. He didn't play very well in a lot of them either, which is the part I'm concerned with.

However, he's a real WR2 and when healthy he's a pretty good one. So if it's true, I just hope he can manage to be healthy, because dinged up Williams isn't that useful.

If I'm reading it right, $12.4M of whatever he gets this year comes from LA.

pugsnotdrugs19 03-14-2024 01:14 PM

I don't love the Mike Williams fit, but **** if the option is him on an almost entirely incentive based deal or Hollywood on a bigger deal...

It's just probably the better use of resources. You can draft a speedy guy.

Mahomes hasn't been one to like contested catch WRs, but maybe the calculus changes when the target is as trustworthy as a Williams is.
