Oh God, here comes Knight with his 300+ team tourney idea.

Yeah, West Virginia is going to be a tough game.

It is kind of cool how both Mizzou and Kansas could play a Big East team in the second round... there have always been a lot of Big 12 fans who don't like the Big East and ACC, so it could be a rude awakening if the fifth and seventh teams in the BE beat the first and third teams in the B12.

I think it's going to happen. The Big East is good.

First we gotta get by NDS, though....

That's exactly what I said.

I actually saw NDSU play when ESPN was showing their WTF conference tourneys. If we lose to them, I will be furious.

But WV is very VERY good, and unfortunately Thuggins can coach. Then if we happen to win that one we get Michigan State

I started filling out my bracket and was very close to putting 3 of them in the final four. I'll sleep on it tonight, and come back in tomorrow and might put the 3rd one in.

Yeah...I remember their white guard hitting a clutch shot to win over Oakland.

Mich. State was one of the few teams that had an easy time with KU this year. Not good. Our bracket is quite awful.

Buehler445 03-15-2009 05:19 PM

Did Creighton get in?

Someone needs to explain to me how OU got the nod over KU and MU

I thought that was weird, too. Dad said they were saying that OU would be fighting for a 1 seed had they won the tourney (but, as KU fans remind us, tourney place means squat). Wasn't BG player of the year? Maybe that had something to do with it.

a valid point....they came up 2 pts short against St Mary's....and had some other close calls...but no "big wins".

I guess the argument is the RPI....and the "mediocre conference record" argument another poster made....

Do you reward a mediocre season (.500 or worse) in a major conference over a good season in a mid-major, or sub-major if you will, conference?

Tough call.

I just dont like the East Coast Sports Network's slurping of east coast teams....and Arizona (they have always had a man-crush for Lute Olson).

If at least two of those big three don't get there, I'd be very surprised. Syracuse is capable of beating anybody in the NCAA, too.
