Re Vrabel: It's not your money Dane and he's not breaking the bank so why so much ****ing bitching and moaning about it? 5 million anymore is chump change in the NFL. Quote:

Where did I EVER state that he was anything other than a solid player that would play hard each and every down? Your story is changing. Quote:
Furthermore, Vrabel wastes a roster spot and likely will play before a younger player. Studebaker may never be a Pro Bowler either, but each and every time he's been the starter, he's been a playmaker. Finally, re-signing Vrabel does nothing for the youth of this team, nor does it make it more talented. I'm really beginning to question your views. |

The things he says to young players in the locker room, in the weight room, etc...Mike may not be a elite player anymore, but he is an elite leader. |

I'm not saying it isn't true, but the only evidence I have seen makes it more questionable than not. |

Vrabel doesn't attend OTA's. He doesn't attend mini-camps. If he was a TRUE leader in the locker room, he wouldn't miss a session. Furthermore, he won't be there when the young players and rookies are there, so how can you definte that as "elite leadership"? |

I DO know however that last offseason, he said it was within his rights set forth in the CBA to sit out mini-camps and OTA's. He stated that the union bargained long and hard for those rights. Personally, I would be disappointed (but not surprised) if he continued this practice. |

Either way, the guy, along with about 8 other guys, should not be starting. If his roster spot is based on his leadership, then he should be at every meeting and workout, if not he should not be wasting a roster spot in my opinion...You lead by example. |
I've always wondered about these things. It always seems like it's guys who are over the hill but producing at high levels who sit out these sessions. If they attend, are they then subject to the NFL's random drug testing policies at that time?
I've always wondered if these guys don't attend just so they can get their juice on for a few months longer. |

On in which you may not want to know, but have already assumed, the correct answer. |

For that, you should cover your eyes and stay in the dark. Enjoy your meaningless existence. |

Haley gave an excuse, one which was universally passed over by the media. Vrabel addressed it months down the road and once again, the KC media glossed over its significance. If the Chiefs were a consistent 11-5, 12-4, 13-3, 14-2 team, I could overlook a guy like Vrabel skipping OTA's and minicamps. But, they're not. |
