1) They're not ex-Patriots.
2) They all reportedly want some level of control which means that, if they are hired, Scott lost some of his.

Really can't envision a scenario where Pioli goes out of his comfort zone. It's great that we have a forward thinking GM who can adjust and adapt to others. (/sarcasm)

Green was hardly a game manager that year.

That was an attacking offense.

Difference is the Chiefs ran the ball a ton.

HC: Winston Moss
OC: Joe Lombardi
DC: undecided

But he wasn't/isn't in Brady's league. Brady has carried his team this year. He's amazing. We'll never know, but IMO, with a real franchise QB we win it that year. Even with a crap defense.

Tony still would have pushed off, Anderson misses a FG, Holmes fumbles. Trent was great that game we still would have lost with Brady.

I wouldn't mind if we took a chance on Jay Gruden

This idea is growing on me. Plug in Kevin Greene from GB as DC and I think we would be set.

Thank you Captain Obvious. Of course Green wasn't in Brady's league. Brady is one of the 10 best QBs ever.

No shit. I hate this team.

That's the thing, for some unknown reason, I decided when I was a kid I liked the Chiefs. Everybody around me either ignores the NFL or likes the Bears.

I'm such a ****ing idiot. If I could go back in time and slap the **** out of my kid-self, damn....

Bringing in Kevin Greene from Green Bay would be interesting. IIRC correctly, Capers isn't strictly a 2-gap guy.

We have all the 3-4 personnel, but it would be interesting to see, especially with Jackson and Dorsey up front, what a 1-gap scheme could do.

You assume that Pioli is calling the shots.

Moss is the LB coach on a defense KC beat up on. He also has all that talent on his LB corp. Is that a good resume for a new HC?

Plus, Pioli will not wait for a Super Bowl bound team to finish their season in order for their coaches to become available for interviews.

Oh, you are still a kid to me, young man. ;)

Isn't there an NFL rule that assistant coaches by those teams with a first round playoff berth can be interviewed in the week leading up to the wild card games?

We'll find out in a few days. I have a hunch Clark is the one calling the shots.
