Holland for closer.

BigMeatballDave 04-11-2012 05:51 PM

Make him take a Greyhound home

mnchiefsguy 04-11-2012 05:51 PM

Why is this guy the Royals closer again? Seems like Holland would be the better choice, Broxton just does not seem to have it.

Not until the day they are mathematically eliminated

I dont see how he is done but as a closer yes(if ur talking about his career

Amazing how he looked awesome before the error, and completely fell apart after. And some people would believe there is not some intangible mental aspect to the game.

I get respecting your closer enough to not go out and talk to him the first guy he walks, but if I'm Pena behind the plate I at least go out there, remind him how fat he is and him slap on the ass.

I have to agree, this one goes on the list right next to the seagulls.

3 years from now we'll be going like "remember when Broxton hit two guys in extra innings to lose the game?"

That was supa style!!

I just have no words for what I just saw. Watched for 4 hours to see it end like that?

Gotta be some kind of record.

kstater 04-11-2012 05:54 PM

Eh, 3-3 to open on the road isn't terrible.

You're probably right.

If he lets an error shake him up like that, he probably shouldn't be your closer.

Lacks the mental toughness.

:spock:

If this was true, I can't think of a situation where a player should ever be blamed for a loss. Broxton is not 20.

As far as I'm concerned, aside from perhaps deciding on Broxton over Holland or Crow in spring, Ned Yost did absolutely nothing wrong whatsoever.

He was done after that error and he's done completely. I watched melt downs like that on a regular basis when he was a dodger

SuperChief 04-11-2012 05:55 PM

****ing lame. Had to watch the ESPN Gamecast as I'm at work; it showed up with 2 straight HBP, and I thought it was a mistake for sure on ESPN's end.
