This is the 4th top-5 pick for the Chiefs in the last 6 years, and some people still question the wisdom of drafting a legit QB.

Un****ingreal.

sure...i should have said 'first no-excuses-what-so-ever position to draft a QB'

it just scares the shit out of some people

If you're referring to me in particular, you couldn't be more wrong.

I'd love to see the Chiefs take a QB #1 overall. What I don't like is being told, repeatedly and ad nauseam, by the same forum members that ONE GUY is THE GUY.

Even though every paid scout, talent evaluator and the Chiefs GM, at this point, feel there IS no guy worthy of the #1 overall pick, and many feel there is no true first round talent available in the 2013 draft.

Taking a guy in the first doesn't make him a first round talent.

The Chiefs should have traded their entire draft in 2012 for RGIII. And if that would work, they should have drafted Tannehill or Wilson.

Instead, they're faced with an uncertain future and will likely select someone not worthy of first round grade, let alone, #1 overall.

No doubt. Has to happen.

If there's a "Legit QB", by all means, they should take him.

Dane, you wouldn't happen to be distantly related to Joseph McCarthy, would you?

True.

However, it doesn't seem to matter. Was Weeden worthy of being a first round QB? Tannehill? McNown? Druckenmiller? Mirer? Sanchez? Russell? Smith? Losman? Grossman? Quinn? VY? Leftwich? Leinart? Dilfer?

In terms of win percentage, their teams all improved coinciding with their drafting.

Meanwhile, here are some guys whose teams got worse once they were drafted: Ryan Clady, Bryant McKinnie, Shawn Andrews, Leonard Davis.

Don't forget Branden Albert and Glenn Dorsey.

Ha. Nice. I'm going to have to think of another sig bet to make with you. I'm not sure where Terrance Copper stands with the new Dorsey/Reid administration, so his time on this roster may not be for long. The clock is ticking if you still want Copper swag.

If you think of one, let me know. I'd like to try my hand at a Jackson sig.

Or maybe LJ.

But at this point in time, before the Combines, before the Draft, before training camp, etc. it's just damn silly to make these comparisons.

"COMING OUT OF COLLEGE"

You ****ing dope.
