As far as the rest goes, I like Dorsey's pedigree, but Pioli has already proven just how valuable pedigree is. And I hate that the very first move was as horrendous a move as it was. It just rings same ol', same ol' with me. Same shit different decade.

I have no faith whatsoever in Andy Reid, either. It's not 2006 and the last several years of the Eagle franchise were downright frightening. And, again, he's apparently in love with Mr. Mediocrity out of SF. Which doesn't fill me with warm fuzzies.

It's hard to fault Clark though, he's spending shit tons on these guys. I'm not sure I fall into the crowd that thinks he's just trying to go 8-8 and keep the stands full. I think I lean more towards him wanting to win but having an unfortunate predilection towards bad front office decisions.

And I don't blame anyone for making that choice.

I recently added a 42" LED LCD and a Samsung "7.1" soundbar and wireless subwoofer to my "man cave" during the playoffs this January.

Good times ahead.

What's an led LCD?

As far as I know, it's an LCD TV with LED backlight.

It's about 3/4" thick, if that. Maybe 5/8ths.

BossChief 03-13-2013 10:15 PM

Didn't know they made such a thing. Cool.

How do you not know that given your job? :)

Sheesh, I thought you were testing me.

DLPs are the only TVs I'm familiar with.

The lamps are a mother****er.

I wanted Geno as the next guy but he's as uncertain at this point as Alex.

We gave up too much for him. That sucks.

Alex Smith is not uncertain. It is certain that this team is trying the same thing that has failed 15 times in the past.

But it just might work this ****ing time!

I am now resigned to the fact that I will not see this team win a playoff game again in my lifetime.

I have one of these and the picture is so clear that it looks bizArre at first, too real. My friends freak out on it the first time they watch anything on it. It takes a long time for the TV to turn on. I say that's because the people have to get in it. It looks that real. Awesome for football too!

Yeah, that's the only bummer: It takes about 10 seconds or so to turn on and heat up. I'm usually so busy that sometimes, I'll hit the power button again, only to turn it off, because I'd forgotten if I actually turned it on! :D

What brand? Got a Sharp 60" and its amazing. Then again I went from a 53" 8 yr old projection TV that was the infancy of HD. The difference almost seems as great as going from standard to HD did. LED's are awesome, especially when sitting straight in front of them. Off to the side isn't great, but it's not a big deal. I also got lucky with mine. Sharp had to replace it due to an issue and they didn't have any in stock, so I got a massive upgrade on one.

Anyway, if this was your first time with that type of TV, I'm guessing you are rather enjoying it.

I just make sure I turn it on before I start getting settled in or turn the Directv box on. Usually by then it's on.

I am so excited

I cannot wait for the season to start. I might watch him play the Saints ten more times this offseason

I've got two LCD LED Vizio's: A 42" in my "office" and a 37" in my wife's office. I mainly purchased them because of their heat and efficiency ratings, because I'm trying my best to do all I can to lower our electricity usage (I've replaced other appliances and our A/C unit as well).

I've got a 2012 LCD Sharp Aquos in the family room and that thing puts out some heat. Not a ton, per se, but you can definitely feel the difference when it's on for an hour or so and walk out of the room. Someday, I'll replace the remaining four LCD's with LED's.
