Smith is going to get $100 million contract. $52-55 million guaranteed. $17-$18 million per year.

It's not right, its way too much money but thats the going rate.

What we need to do is front load the contract like the Bears did with Cutler so you can get out of it after 3-4 years if Smith goes south.

Player development is huge for us now. I'm actually sort of excited/hopeful that we don't pigeon hole ourselves come draft time. We're in a good spot to do what successful teams do and draft good/great football players that fall in the draft for bs reasons.
