Clay, once again your agenda is showing. Sometimes tough football decisions have to be made. That's what this was. You want to blame someone, blame Peehole E for letting Carr walk.

I happen to agree with this.

I'm hoping that Dorsey/Reid are able to replicate that type of talent evaluation, acquisition an management.

Don't blame Pioli for that. Paying Carr 50mil was INSANE.

Are people here really still trying to blame Pioli for not signing Carr to that deal? Hasn't watching Carr for the past 2 years been enough to stop with that nonsense?

Should have tagged Carr and traded Flowers when he had some worth.

Exactly.

So looks like I was correct and Jason was wrong after all... LMAO

You took his side, remember?

No. It was a bad deal. Pioli should have extended him and it would not have come to that. Instead, he chose to wait.

The timing is wierd.

They either have agreed to something with Smith or Houston, or Flowers was asking to be cut and they granted his wish.

Flowers didn't like being relegated to the slot but he couldn't cover the perimeter effectively either. Played poorly last year and now decided not to show up for OTAs. He was asking to be cut.

If he was asking to be cut, it didn't happen until they shopped the shit out of him.

No one else wanted to take on the salary either.

Yup, and he was due a $2 mil bonus if he reported to TC. No way that he was going to remain on the roster for much longer. He's going to go be the #3 CB for someone.

I think they're close with Houston. Hence the timing.

Why is it assumed Owens will win the nickel job? There is a competition with no real big names. I like it that way because there is a job to win, no incumbent.

I like both DeMarcus Van Dyke and Gaines over Owens.. I'm not a Cooper fan, and I dont know anything about the other guy other than Seattle liked him a lot(grabbing secondary players Seattle likes but didnt have enough room for is not a bad idea)
