This shouldn't be a system where we "protect" the call from the ump. It should be a system where we take all the information possible to try and get the right call. This crap about conclusive evidence is a bunch of BS.

Now that I think about it, why would any player ever swing at a ball not in the strike zone? Are they stupid or something?!? LMAO

A lot of them just don't even care.

C3HIEF3S 07-01-2015 09:14 PM

There was absolutely 0 chance that play was getting overturned. There was not one conclusive angle, not one.

I watched it seven times. Looked catchable to me.

90 mph ball falling to the right is catchable for infante, who has to cover the bag to his left, with a guy diving head first in the way while he also has to focus on applying a tag. I really don't think you understand the degree of difficulty. That play is made maybe 2/10 times

Me included.

And you also think that every replay clearly showed that Salvy had applied the tag before Altuve touched the plate?

Great Expectations 07-01-2015 09:16 PM

Do we pinch hit for Rios and Infante?

SPchief 07-01-2015 09:16 PM

He saw Jeter do it plenty of times so he thinks everyone can do it
