However, my post was about how this game would/should be a very good gauge as to the actual efficiency of our team as a whole, not about our standing in the AFC or the race to the playoffs. It's the best measuring stick game we'll have down the stretch.

Win, and KC probably is a legit contender in the playoffs. Lose convincingly, a la the TEN debacle, and the Chiefs are probably a one-and-done team. Capisce?

This is the part where I disagree. We have 4 games left against divisional rivals. We win those and the Broncos are out of it. We have the h2h against the raiders and I think we get the 2nd tiebreaker over the Chargers. The Cowboys game means very little.

We only have 4 losses. It's not going to take 13-4 to make the playoffs.

As for the rest of it. Like I said before, I agree. This will be a good test to see if we've actually turned a corner and can feel like a dangerous team for the playoffs.

I think he's being a tad too bold, but I like it.

Maurice Jones-Drew: Sunday's marquee match-up between the Cowboys and Chiefs features two explosive offenses that combine to average 839.5 total yards per outing -- that's the sixth-highest figure by opponents for a game taking place in Week 11 or later since 1950, per NFL Research. It's the most since the Chiefs-Rams Week 11 game in 2018, when Los Angeles won in an epic shootout, 54-51. I predict the 'Boys and Chiefs will also combine to score 105 points on Sunday, with Kansas City winning on a last-second field goal by Harrison Butker, causing Arrowhead to hit record-breaking decibels.

I think it’s gonna be a very close game as well. Chiefs pull it out though as Mahomes has more Clutch Gene than Dak, and Andy is much better than McCarthy. Chiefs by 5.

Chiefs still favored by 2.5. Doesn’t appear Cooper missing the game has had an effect on the spread.

Chiefs win 69-0 with Mahomes throwing for 420 yards

This is what I’m thinking too, although idk how much he’ll contribute this week. Been out a while, and may not be included much in the gameplan. But I’ve always wondered why we don’t use him more in the screen game, and short passing. It’s what I always thought was why we drafted him, he was deadly at it in college. The limited screens I’ve seen go to him have been pretty positive if I’m remembering correctly. And now our OL is playing much more fluid and nasty he should have lots of opportunities in that area with the 2 high looks we get. I think the second half of the season is gonna a fun ride!!

Yes, he was drafted to be a solid runner but an elite recieving option . He's been a ghost in that department. Running is only half his game. We've gotten half the player due to the Reid/Mahomes tendency to throw it to anyone but Clyde.

It's been a giant hole in our offense for a many games now. It's pretty ridiculous it's taken this long. Clyde being a young developing player may have something to do with it as well. At times you could tell he was struggling with the flow of the game. Like the rest of the offense, they'll get it figured out. Much progress has been made already. There's time.

Exactly. I expect Reid to retool the offense when we come out of the bye. I think we’re gonna see a lot more offense than we did pre bye. I’m very excited to see how we play when the bye is over. Beat Dallas and go into the bye on a winning streak, and I don’t see another loss this season. Bring on the back stretch, and let’s go get another ring!!

The funny thing is that this wasn't an issue with Kareem. He feasted on bubble screens and check downs.

No ****ing way or defense allows 50+ points. Also very unlikely our more efficient, less explosive offense will either. That Rams-Chiefs game was a unicorn. Would be fun, though.

This is most likely correct. However if a ROOKIE offensive player is rated #1 at his position, including ALL other players,Veterans and Pro Bowlers.

How does that rookie NOT win OROY?

They end up giving it to Mac Jones? Maybe ranked 10 or 12 at his position? Probably...
