The #Giants are slated to pick No. 11 in the NFL Draft, and trading back is already something they are internally considering, I’m told. That spot will have real value. … How rare would a trade down be? GM Dave Gettleman has never traded down in the 1st round in 8 drafts as a GM
So ATL, Miami, Dallas and Giants all considering moving back. |
Looks like Patrick Peterson is being released per his Twitter.

Carolina Panthers have had conversations with other teams about potentially trading back in the draft from pick No. 8, per source. There are all sorts of ongoing trade conversations between teams, let’s see what next week brings.
So Dallas, Carolina, Giants, Miami and Atlanta are all taking phone calls. Sorry I’m bored and news it slow. |

WTF is up with Villanueva? Is he asking for Trent Williams money or something?
Latest report I see is that he visited the Ravens, who appear to be stuck with too many LTs. |

I love how the entire AFCW is loading up on DB’s when we’re about to run the ball down their throats with this OL (if they continue to dare us to).

Any word on Ingram or Houston?

Grunhard was on the radio this morning talking about possibly adding Dede Westbrook. He is coming off an ACL surgery but had a couple good seasons in 18 and 19. I think he would be an outstanding addition.
|
Quote:
Fowler didn't name any teams pursuing Westbrook, though we can assume they are among the NFL's neediest at wide receiver. Westbrook, 27, had back-to-back 66-catch seasons for Jacksonville in 2018 and 2019 before suffering a season-ending knee injury in October 2020. In 2019, he was second on the team with 101 targets. Westbrook could be a serviceable starter if he's fully recovered from his 2020 knee injury. |
Just trade for Julio and be done with it.

There’s no room for Westbrook with Mecole, Robinson and now Powell. Don’t think that’s happening.
I think they’ll definitely sign a pass rusher. That’s a big need for us at the moment. Also would expect Veach to do one of his yearly trades in July/August to get a young cheap corner. We’ve got depth pieces on the OL we can use to facilitate a trade |

The dude plays through injuries and has always produced. As our #2, not a defense in history could stop this offense. With the added 17th game, this offense would shatter every record known to man. |

All they need is enough space to fit the deal under the cap and then restructure 5m of it to make in season roster moves. It’s not going to happen, but it would be as exciting as any move Veach has made if he were to trade for him in July. All of these records would likely fall Yards in a season Passing yards in a season Total touchdowns in a season Total points in a season Passing touchdowns in a season The offense would be quite literally impossible to stop. Clark could make that much back on increased ticket revenue because everyone would want to see that show. Best QB in the league 2 top 5 WRs in the league Best TE in the league Top 5 OL in the league A burner in the slot A RB group that’s tough to tackle and can do it all. Pat might throw close to 75 TDs with those weapons. |
Quote:
That would be the best Offense ever assembled in NFL history. |

Mahomes with 2 extra seconds is more dangerous that anything Jones could offer... You cant beat KC if your front 4 cant constantly get pressure....unless refs. |
What's up with Ingram? Is that dude so banged up hes looking for 1 last payout?

Nobody has a clue what Veach is going to do. We really gotta stop pretending.
At the point if we land Julio I would not be shocked because Veach is aggressive af. |
I would be ecstatic with Veach signing 2 more players. Breeland and Houston.
That gives us the best offense in the league and potentially an elite level pass defense. The run defense would be interesting with linebacker potentially being much better this year. I think it would be middle of the pack at worst. I’d really like to see Houston come back, win a ring, and repair his image amongst the fan base. Dude was a monster for us in his prime. I don’t like not liking him. |
