Christ almighty I'm tired of hearing this.

On average, other than quarterbacks, the easiest position to play at a high level at a later age is high safety.

Ed Reed was an All-Pro at 34 years old, and continued to be elite even after that.

30 is not old for a guy like Earl Thomas.

I’m right with you on that. Charles Woodson played til he was 39-40.... I don’t remember him playing at a low level, ever.

Do it

Get him off the field in Arizona

Has anyone considered that trading for Thomas could actually motivate Berry to get on the field??? Might be worth playing through the pain if you're paired with an All Pro!!!!

Even for just 1 game a playoff win against NE.

If you can make a reasonable deal then why the **** not?

2 2nd rounders isn't reasonable. Veach should be telling them to **** off. 1 2nd rounder should have Thomas here already. Depends on what the real asking price is.

Sort of indicates they're thinking of the Chiefs, if this is true. Hard to imagine them trading for Bell since he's a 6 yr RB that isn't happy with $14,544,000 this season and turned down a $70M deal already.

Unless some other team steps up, Chiefs still have a good shot. 2 second rounders is too much. Could see a 2019 2nd rounder and a lower round pick in 2020. (Or maybe swapping picks in 2020.)

2019 2nd round pick + 2020 4th round pick

for

S Earl Thomas + 2020 6th round pick

sound familiar? :hmmm:

CoMoChief 09-30-2018 04:30 PM

two 2nd round picks?

Our two 2nd rounders will almost be 3rd rounders. It's absolutely reasonable, especially considering this team's history with 2nd rounders.

Seems reasonable wouldn't even care if they didn't throw in the 6th rounder.

If that were actually the price, he'd already be a Chiefs I'm guessing.

Veach is waiting this out to get the price down. I don’t blame him for trying.

Nope. Veach needs to learn to draft better, not throw away a valuable pick just so Seattle can save face.

He's a freaking NFL general manager. If he's "learning" to draft at this stage of the game, this team is SCREWED.

All the more reason to go all in and try to win it this year because the future you so dearly cherish will never happen.
