Whatever. Other teams seem to manage going through the transfer window without making their club into a tabloid. For whatever reason, Barcelona insists on doing the opposite.

I'd be incredibly surprised if Arsenal lets Cesc go, absent funny money. He's on a five year contract, so they aren't risking losing him on a free. He'll get transfered at some point, but not this year. Arsenal has been putting him center in all of their offseason media, so I find it hard to believe they're only trying to drive up the price. Plus, they don't need the money.

Butttt anyway, isn't there a big game coming up here soon?

I was thinking Brazil vs. USA, but I'll tune in for that one I suppose.

A tad bit presumptuous, but damn clever:

The Netherlands NEEEEEEEEEEEEED this. Both of these teams are cursed when it comes to the WC, but it is seriously time for the Oranje to get that black star on top of the pentagon. I don't get all the Netherlands hate, but whatever, haters gon hate.

Spain is the better team as far as overall talent goes so the Dutch will have to work extra hard. There can't be any stupid ****ing selfishness from Robben, Van der Vaart or Sneijder in this. PLAY LIKE A ****ING TEAM.

P.S. Pedro needs to executed by a firing squad for denying Fernando his 1st goal of the tournament yesterday. ****ing tool.

I agree. I'm rooting for Netherlands.

They're using the media to try and get a player. AND, not only that, they don't want to pay his proper valuation, so they're trying to paint Arsenal as the villain. **** that.

No, we're just sick of 1) the club selling good players during their prime and 2) other clubs tampering with our players. Combine that with the fact that we haven't won any silverware in a while, and we bristle easily :)

It's as if the Yankees were using ESPN to put pressure on teh Royals to give up Greinke for $2 million. It's absurd.

No it doesn't. If it could be compared to anything in baseball it sounds like the Padres using ESPN to pressure the Royals to give back Soria (who the Royals took from the Padres in the Rule 5 draft).

That's not entirely the same, either, considering Fabregas wasn't drafted. But, whatever. You get the point. Clubs shouldn't use the media/ESPN to put pressure on other organizations to sell.

Which EPL club is Arsenal's biggest rivals? I might become a fan of them just to spite you whiny-ass Arsenal blokes.

Silock 07-10-2010 11:34 AM

Spurs. Go ahead. Become a fan of them. There's no upside at ALL, though.

They've got Tony Parker, who is married to Eva Longoria. That's plenty of upside.
