You know. I was thinking the exact same thing driving home last night. I was like if I was bored...what is she thinking? I have used the first meeting from online as a super casual ice breaker and that is probably the wrong approach. Do something active and fun over the coffee, drink standard.

You've never met the person outside of 4-5 photos and some sprayed out e-mails, drinks I think is expected but if you get more adventurous let me know what you did and if it worked, I'm curious. I just can't think of anything that involves a fair deal of adventure that I would be up to take a stranger on, unless they were a doctor then I'd go all out what the heck.

I did just meet a chick at the hotel I'm currently staying at and we had an awesome chat in the hotel workout area. She's in town for awhile and I'm here till the end of next week.

There's nothing wrong with this approach! Just don't stay at a bar for hours. Meet up and if your intrested then have a plan to walk around to another spot or take them elsewhere.

Bar for meetup
Maybe then to a comedy club? Etc etc.

All you really need is an opportunity to present yourself. It's all perception!

Anything active that gets ya moving. You are usually one of 3 guys they will meet that week, so u have to stand out a bit.

They all said it was "cheap" and that they wouldn't date the guy any more.

I ended up dating Jennifer for 2 years. We where in our early 20's

The look on her face when I pulled out the coupon was priceless. She got a free meal. It might have been worse if I made her pay for her half than used the buy 1 get 1 free coupon.

I'm taking my next first date to Denny's!
