Again, to show how ridiculously dense our fanbase is.

Say anything negative about Alex Smith, get "3-0" as a response.

Mention that Geno Smith is 2-1, and get a laundry list of reasons why he shouldn't be.

Mention that the reason why AS is 3-0 is his defense, get laundry list of excuses why the offense hasn't "gelled" yet.

Pretty comical, I must say.

That is something I have stated since day one. The only stat that matters is wins.

Sure Geno is 2-1, he should be 1-2 barring a ridiculous penalty and in the end IMO he wont have a better career than Alex and that is what the premise of this whole debate was supposed to be.

Geno could be total crap until his seventh year and be on pace with Alex.

Whats comical is you don't see the difference between a ridiculous personal foul call handing a game to the Jets and how KC has won all 3 games without anything being handed to them.

Come on man admit Geno was gifted a win. You know its true. Acting any different is disingenuous.

You are correct, lets see how many games he wins. He can have the freebie.

And for the record he has been better than I expected especially given the team he is on.

I still think shit goes downhill very quickly.

That is my opinion.

Hey maybe I will be wrong about Geno just like you will be about Alex. :harumph:

Key point in bold.

People are impatient and want to "win now." Would have been interesting to win now, and potentially be prepared for the future

Geno is winning now with jack and shit around him. Who knows how much better he'd look with Charles, Bowe, etc.

I personally think we'd still be 3-0 with Geno.

But God forbid I speak highly of a kid we didn't take. I should be writing him off after three games.

Nope. He gets three weeks.

Ok that is so relevant to Alex Smith being our QB right now and how he has done the last 31 starts of his career. .

No QB has ever started their career slow and had success. Never happened, never will.

Sanchez had 5 years. Started out decent and then boom.

If you want to ignore the plays he made to even make the PF call matter, feel free.

If you also want to ignore punt returners fumbling, QB's throwing ill-advised passes right to us, opponents dropping pick sixes, feel free as well.

Goes both ways, but last I checked you said all that matters is wins.

I never said he should be written off, I have said I would rather have the guy we have, right now and in the near future.

Actually, funny you mention Sanchez.

Here's a guy that gets carried by his defense, goes 4-2 in the playoffs with a 9:1 TD to INT ratio his first two years in the league - and he's was crucified the entire time.

When Alex Smith wins the same way, he's ****ing glorified.

CP in a nutshell.

Another Chiefs Planet QB hero as a rookie and for several years after. Everyone knew where his career was going and how much failure was involved not drafting him. He won playoff games, he is franchise.

Wins are all that matters as long as it involves playoffs.
