According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, the Seahawks have offered free agent DT Sheldon Richardson a deal worth $11 million annually.
Richardson is aiming for $15 million a year, so the sides obviously have significant ground to make up. The 27-year-old is meeting with Vikings brass on Thursday, though it's unclear how much Minnesota is willing to spend after investing $84 million in Kirk Cousins. The former Defensive Rookie of the Year impressed last season, earning PFF's No. 21 grade among 79 qualifiers at defensive tackle. |

The best thing to do for the LG position is to draft one or start Ehinger or Witzman.
Our Oline is still young enough but getting older and it wouldn't be a bad thing to inject some youth to it, plus it would be cheap. And Witzman wasn't good last year but Smith still had his best season ever and our offense was rather explosive so it is not like the LG position really hurt our offense. |

I am getting impatient with Veach not having signed any DL lol.
Man, if he can sign a decent DT and a decent CB, this team could be very good next year. |

Wilkerson signed a deal with the Packers because he wanted to be there. Richardson wants $15 million a season. Suh wants money and doesn't care who gives it to him. |

Like it or not, we aren’t signing any difference makers on defense at this point. The money isn’t there, and the players really aren’t either for the most part.
I actually wouldn’t mind the Celek idea. Cross TE off your need list, and then you draft 6 or 7 defensive players come April. Wbf. |

I threw this out in the draft forum, but am I the only person provided things check it personally, that thinks the Chiefs may take a mid round flier on Holton Hill? He seems to check the boxes for what Sutton wants in a CB. |
Man, some of you guys just have no ****ing clue how the NFL works. If the Chiefs want to sign another big-ticket guy they EASILY can. There are so many ways to "create" cap space if they're lacking. Convert $Xm of a guy's salary to signing bonus and BOOM, you have instant cap space.
Seriously, STFU if you don't know what you're talking about. They probably won't sign a guy because they've already signed 2 and you don't wanna overcommit yourself guarantees wise, but if they really like a guy at the right price, don't kid yourself that they "can't" do it. |
Lets put it this way, they could easily go to Berry or Fisher or LDT and get money to go get someone off either one of them.
Unless of course Veach wants to cut Fisher in a year or 2. |
Houston, Fisher and Berry account for FORTY SEVEN MILLION DOLLARS in cap hit.
If they so wanted to, the Chiefs could probably turn half of that into cap space. Jesus. Some people. y wee haff n0 crap spase bro =((( |

Oh yeah. And the reason I came here before getting sidetracked by stupid.
Sheldon Richardson. It's a shame that guy has those $ signs tattooed on his eyeballs. He'd be a nice get, but that's just too much. |
