Anyone care to guess what the average starting field position is for KC?

How about for the Jets?

I see the issues on offense.

This team also only won 2 games last year.

New staff. New players. New system. Yet, they are 3-0.

That is very impressive. After the garbage we've seen the past few years it's nice to watch a competitive team.

I find the obsession of Geno amusing.

Well, mostly Clay's.

So, if you're honestly going to ask what I'm happy with other than the defense, I guess the answer is that we're 3-0, and that ST and the kicking game has been solid.

Its true, Axl seems to prefer darters who can get a quick separation, I see it too, its something he definitely needs to work on.

But at the same time, Michael Crabtree had over 1100 yards in 2012, he's much the same kind of player as Bowe, a big man who doesn't need to be wide open to catch it, yet Axl was responsible for the majority of those yards since he played into week 10.

So it isn't that Smith WONT throw to a guy like Bowe, its that he doesn't have the same comfort level throwing to that kind of receiver at this point... it will come in time, Smiff needs to know the playbook and players back and forth to be truly comfortable according to many sources, he's a technician... not a mad bomber.

So there it is, while its no guarantee of playoffs or playoff success, 3-0 is a good harbinger, it says that however un-pretty its been so far, it HAS been efficient and it HAS led to the 3-0 that you claim to be happy about... so even though its a work in progress, its a winning work in progress, and theres nothing wrong with that.

But whatever you do, don't think that our defense and special teams exist in a vacuum, if Axl weren't doing whats needed to win, we wouldn't be winning, period.

Just give it time, that's all most people are asking...

What's amusing is the people who immediately declared him a bust after the Patriots game.

And now you don't like a taste of your own medicine after he went off like a BEAST.

Surely you are joking. The Pats/Jets gameday thread was basically true fans yukking it up.

You need to look at Crab's stats again.

1) he only had 1100 receiving yards in the regular season.

2) A little over half of those yards (615) were gained in the post-Alex Smith season, with Kaepernick throwing him the ball.
