The only argument against Arizona is their big wins (KU, Gonzaga) came at home. You'd rarely ever get Kansas to go play at St. Mary's. Gonzaga had to go to St. Mary's since they're in the same conference... and they only won by 2 points... and Patty Mills was out.

Arizona played 2 non-conference games on the road, that's it. And they lost them both, including a 15 point loss at UNLV.

So, ranking 2009 meltdowns so far:

1. Vitale responds to the omission of Mid Majors
2. 'Hamas' hears about the Cassel trade
3. The Economy

Vitale's mid-major rant may have been taped from every previous year, i'm not sure though

But all nine are good, wholesome people.

True...but I'm sure they'll get enough KU fans to go there...

First we gotta get by NDS, though....

I think a lot of people have thought "out in the first weekend or as far as the EE" for a while for Kansas, and I think the same thing now that I've seen the brackets. 7/8 of WVU's conference losses came against teams ahead of them in the standings, and five of them came against Louisville, Pitt, or UConn. I haven't watched them, but a lot of those games at least look close, so that looks like a very tough game.

Get past NDS and WVU though, and I think they would have a decent shot against MSU, BC, or USC. B10 teams do okay in the tourney because of their defense and their sluggish pace, but it's to Kansas' advantage that they played @MSU earlier in the season. That's as far as I could see them going, and that's asking a lot.

Digger talking Kansas.... saying they're now a very dangerous team in that region because of their recent losses. F*** you, Jay Bilas.

I was just talking to one of those people down here in Mexico. So cross that guy off the list of attendees.

Refresh my memory here, when is the last time a mid-major won the national title?

They haven't because they don't get the opportunity/Dicky V.

Well, I think Vitale is certainly making more sense than anyone else in this argument.

Jay Bilas seems to become a bigger dick everyday. He used to be less of an a-hole. Still a pretty good analyst but I like Doug Gottlieb the most. He does his homework, and knows what he is talking about.

West Virginia was actually the last team I wanted KU to face in the 2nd round. And then despite being ranked as the top #3 team, we still got matched up with them. Bah. At least it will be an exciting game if we do happen to beat NDS.
