Carl Nicks after the game:

"I'm going to mother-^%$@!#$ disney land!"

hilarious

Wow. As usual, Hootie just does not get it. Stupid ****.

I can't help but wonder why there are all these meaning less threads here.

If Mr. "Flawless" was able to move the ball on that first possession, then maybe they could have taken their momentum from the first quarter and put the game away. Then, how about the end of the quarter? As great as Manning is, you think he could have managed a first down to keep the Saints from getting the ball back and scoring a field goal. But no. He went 3 and out, allowing the Saints a short field and 3 points that they should never have had a chance to get.

um, he neither runs the ball or catches it. Garcon's drop was the play of the game. He catches that (perfect) pass and they go up 17-0.

That WAS a huge drop. But no way does that cost them the game. It happened way too early. I'd say Manning throwing a pick6 with 3:something left in the game while driving to tie it is quite a bit more devastating.

Follow Austin Collie on this play, and pause at 17 seconds.

Then tell me that the INT was anyone but Manning's fault.

Yeah, the pick is on Manning. There's not really any doubt or argument about it.

Chiefnj2 02-08-2010 09:35 AM

Looks like 17? was open on that play.

I was rooting for the Saints like everyone else in the country who doesn't reside in Indiana. But I felt bad for Manning. He's a class guy.

That's what I just said.

Follow Austin Collie. Manning blew it.

Some great QBs have never won a SB and are still Hall of Famers.
Like Jim Kelly and Dan Marino. Two great QBs. Meanwhile Trent Dilfer and Bard Johnson have won SBs.

I did too actually and I am not even mildly a Colt liker.

Sims said something interesting just a fe plays before the Pick 6. He said that Greg Williams (the D coordinator for the Saints, for those who don't know) mentioned to him that they (Saints D) were saving a few things that Manning hadn't seen before, and they were going to show it when needed.

I wonder if this contributed to the Pick 6; and/or Porter just making a great read on the route and a great break on the ball.

Don't you know anything about football?

That kicker wasn't a day over 90.

Even I knew that. Sheesh!
