Send him on a blitz and end Papa Peyton in Pile High.

He would be the most likely candidate on our team. JFC he is just a nasty ass headhunter.

Pasta Little Brioni 03-09-2013 11:03 AM

Cool, the team needs that kind of attitude on defense.

My read, for what it's worth: this team is casting a wide, wide net at CB and seeing who they can scoop up.

Listen, we knew this was Andy Reid's jam before he came to KC.

The guy traded for Asante Samuel, Dominique Rodgers Cromartie, and signed Nnamdi Asamoah. He places an extremely high premium on corners.

He came to this team, and we have exactly three worth a damn under contract: Flowers, Arenas, and Brown. And Brown's shit.

So he came to this team with a need at three spots along the corner, and Reid prefers it to the strength of his defense.

So think about what happens if the Chiefs land the guy they want in Sean Smith:

Brandon Flowers
Sean Smith
Javier Arenas
Dunta Robinson
Jalil Brown

All of a sudden you have a CB corps with extensive starting experience and safey experience in Smith and Robinson.

The side effect is that it would pretty much eliminate CB as a draft need, which is something we should keep in mind going forward...

Good post. I'm not up in arms about this signing because it is a situation that demands us to throw numbers at it. Why? Again, Pioli was really, really bad at his job.

If used appropriately, I think that Robinson can be a viable, if not valuable, addition.

Go watch him hit Desean Jackson. Both of them came away with mild concussions.

I'm willing to bet they're still barking up that tree.

Pasta Little Brioni 03-09-2013 11:10 AM

I remember it and look forward to the same hit applied to Delirium Tremens

Sassy Squatch 03-09-2013 11:13 AM

Remembered the hit but didnt realize that was Dunta. Let him prowl the LOS like Berry was last year and Berry can be the ball hawk he was meant to be

The Franchise 03-09-2013 11:13 AM

I'm sure Robinson will be starting at FS and Sean Smith will be our #2.....effectively eliminating Milliner at #2.

mcaj22 03-09-2013 11:31 AM

Dunta is slow as **** so as long as you know very well he will allow a lot of yards/receptions with those big hits, tough attitude, good run support, than it's nothing to get upset about

Pasta Little Brioni 03-09-2013 11:37 AM

Get after the QB and it won't matter as much.

No doubt, Gun. Take away the heart.

mcaj22 03-09-2013 11:38 AM

we currently have two guys that can get after the QB so unless they plan on improving that we will probably still be one of the worst teams in sacks again

Pasta Little Brioni 03-09-2013 11:40 AM

Poe has the ability to do so and this scheme could help him flourish.
