Well the Chiefs can afford to extend him but at what price? Hard to pay him more than Berry..

The good thing is that you get 4 or so million back next offseason by getting rid of Sorensen.

I'd give up a 2nd and a 4th. Sign him to a reasonable extension. With Thomas we can afford to wait on Eric Berry to be ready to go and have them both ready for a playoff push.

Spend money now that we can get out of when Mahomes comes due.
