What is the deal with Nick Wright and Trevor Lawrence?

They related?

They couldn’t be more opposite. Cousins plays great then disappears in big games. I could see Trevor Lawrence being peak Eli manning or Big Ben. Where they play just well enough but solid in key moments.

What big games? The one with 4 INTS?

And then put up 4 tds in one of the biggest comebacks in playoff history. It’s not how you start it’s how you finish. That’s why Trevor is considered a gamer whereas people are finally starting to question why Herbert can’t close games. Big Ben had a lot of really bad games too including playoff games where he ended up just making big throws at the right time.

Well I hope he duplicates that "big game performance" this weekend. We win by 20 if he throws 4 picks.

We are going to be fine because we are too good. I think it’s odd to use last weeks game as some kind of a slam on him.

Take away the 4 picks and he had good game!

Brady and Big Ben have won a lot of big games where they didn’t play well early on. The key metric with a qb is how they play with the game on the line. It’s a credit to lawrence for bouncing back when Lamar would’ve pouted on the bench. It’s way better for him to finish a game strong where Herbert blew a 27 pt lead. Where Kirk cousins threw a checkdown on 4th and long.

He played a pretty good game on the biggest of stages. A playoff win many good QBs can’t get until late in their careers. Even though he’s still learning. Even with a team that’s big time in rebuild mode. Last time I checked mahomes didn’t have a very good Super Bowl vs the niners. But he came up huge when it mattered. And that made it an outstanding game for him.

I guess we will see this week what he is.

He has more issues that I thought, but part of the problem seems to be inconsistencies with route-running among his receivers. Kind of surprising, you'd think Doug would have corrected that type of thing by now. Anyway, a good breakdown of the WC game:

Most of those issues should be fixable, I imagine. Mildly concerned about a few of those 'irrational' decisions about where to go with the ball, like throwing that 7 route over the DB to the sideline, when the skinny post was so wide open, which really is a much easier pass, but I have to believe that Doug has gone over that with Trevor by now, and they'll fix that as well. I just wonder why they haven't already dealt with it; that kind of thing doesn't just pop up 18 weeks into the season. Trevor has to have been doing similar things, if not the exact same thing, all along.

And the drifting in the pocket; Doug knows better than that, so why is Trevor still doing it? Probably why so many of his passes get batted. Anyway, an interesting watch.

It is horrific if you're a mongoloid like yourself waiting for ESPN to tell you what just happened.

Zach Wilson is absolute trash. He's a dumb shit and runs his mouth in pressers when he sucks ass. Zach Wilson couldn't even be a game manager that doesn't turn the ball over. 6 TDs and 7 INTs in 9 games is ****ing atrocious. The guy took a step back from last year. He's done.

Dude Trevor Lawrence showed big old balls and Justin Herbert showed to be free of balls. That defense gift wrapped him a playoff win and he shit his pants. Couldn't do anything to keep a drive going.

The announcers were sucking his nuts well into the 4th quarter though. Herbert is basically Phyllis. Sucks in big moments and Phyllis was lucky to not have a Mahomes to keep him from getting an AFC West title. Herbert won't be that lucky and probably will win 1 or 2 playoff games at most.

I haven't written the book on Herbert yet. We've got two HOF former QBs in Warner and Young that say that offense prevents Herbert from being fully utilized, i.e., they want him to stand in the pocket like Tomb Brady, when he obviously is far more athletically gifted than that.

On the other hand, I've watched Herbert throw away games on terrible passes or decisions at least a half a dozen times, so maybe he really is just good and not elite.

But I'd like to see what a real OC/QB whisperer could do with him before passing final judgement on him. Just my two cents.

His value is exactly equal to Mahomes on one ankle.
