We can lose this game if Andy starts running the ball on 1st downs with a small lead and lets off the throttle...which he loves to do with small leads.

Should we beat them yes, does that mean we will? No.

Any given Saturday or Sunday.

Really? I've been begging him to run the ball on 1st down this season when our RB's are getting 4-7 ypc.

really? a 40 yard lob to a college-wide open receiver is the best one of the year?

i suppose beggars can't be choosers when your QB has only 25 TDs on the year

don't think lawrence is going to pick us apart

Any NFL QB who failed to complete that pass would want to off himself.

What are they saying over at the Jaguars fan forum?

They’re all looking for the closest methadone clinic to their hotel in KC.

I'm sorry but that just sounds dumb to me. It would be like Chiefs fans shouting Jaackkssoonn!

Chiefs move out to the racetrack so we can shout Dotte!!!!!

As usual the Chiefs toughest opponent Saturday will be... the Chiefs.

No self-inflicted mistakes, convert the high % plays (i.e. 3rd and 1 and stopping Jacksonville on 3rd and long), make extra points, etc.

Andy Reid is generally the biggest threat to the Kansas City Chiefs on any given playoff game. He's the best run defender on their team, outright taking the ball away from our backs, and that old school sportsman in him guarantees he will put the other guy's feels ahead of stomping on their necks and "scoring an unsportsmanlike amount of points."

He's a win my way or no way guy, and he always has been, and always will be. So if any of you are looking for Andy Reid to suddenly coach football games any differently than he has for 20 years, you're in for some frustration.

We simply need to hope that Patrick Mahomes remains the superbeast that he's been at his best, and influence the game in such a way that Andy Reid being required to pass a pop quiz on situational football is not even a scenario that takes place.

For example, when we last played the Bengals, Andy failed the pop quiz.

Defense has not stopped the Bengals all game, you're down 3 with 3 and change to play. Its 4th and 7 and you either put the game in 15's hands and let him go get you the go ahead td, or you trot out the most untrustworthy kicker since #2 for a shot at a 56 yard field goal just to tie, and give the ball back to Joe Burrow, saying that you believe your defense that hasn't done shit all day, will be able to stop Burrow from draining the clock and kicking a gane winning field goal..

He elected to kick.

If this is the Andy that appears on the sidelines, Patrick Mahomes is going to have to be flawless.

nope don't have a sister and don't do drugs, but my brother is a Chiefs Fan and it is already a smack talking week in our household. so why not bring it here and get in on some of this action. pretty crazy so many pages in a game alot of you believe is a Bye week.

Dal just beat the brakes off TB and we beat Dal in OT. so to think we can't play with the big boys is understandable as we have been bad for so long. but we are here to stay and we will be for as long as trevor stays healthy.

Couple of notes from my recent rewatch:

1. The OL didn't have much of a problem blocking the Jags up front on passing downs. Josh Allen was a handful for OBJ, but not game breaking sorta handful. However, we weren't able to do a whole lot in the run game. There were a couple of decent runs here and there that made the stats look good, but for the most part they did a good job of containing the edges and kept our interior run game mostly in check. They were all over our jet sweeps etc. IIRC, this was also Pacheco's 1st game starting, or one of his first at least. Mahomes had several scrambles in this game, so i do wonder how/if that will be addressed in the 2nd meeting.

2. Chiefs also did a good job of containing JVille's run game. For the most part, defensivly the Chiefs controlled the LoS. They were able to generate 5 sacks and more or less keep their run game from exploding.

3. The Chiefs, chief'd. A fumble by Pacheco in/near the red zone....an INT by Mahomes on our own side of the field. Made the game feel closer than what it needed to be. As always, if the Chiefs can avoid shooting themselves in the foot we should control the game. If not, it's going to be a one score game towards the end.
