You can freak out if you’d like. I’m not.

Yes, I’d definitely trust those WAR statistics that no one can agree on for football.

And who says I’m freaking out? I just think his absence creates a bigger void than you do.

We just won a SB. There’s no part of me that’s terribly stressed about anything happening this season win, lose, or draw.

Ahhhh. That's why he hasn't signed. He's on vacation.

I just keep going back to, if people thought he was so expendable, we should have been hearing calls to trade him going back to before the draft. And if you think he's only worth .5 of a win, then you should not want to re-sign him at any premium price.

Yep! That's that one tree over there by the thing. And that other thing that's next to that one place. Everybody in Olathe knows that.

One problem with these measures of WAR - which people still can’t agree on for football - at a time like this is that we’re not replacing him with average level replacement players. We could easily be replacing him with negative WAR contributors. Is Coburn going to be an average DT? We know about Nnadi. Farrell was going to be released by Oakland. Danna and Wharton are probably pretty average.

Plus, we likely need to change a lot of what we do on defense to manufacture pressure in other ways which creates voids elsewhere. It’s just a lot more pressure on the rest of the defense and other blind spots created, and that’s not something that WAR is going to be good at capturing.

I think it’s insane to feel like having him or, say, some combination of Danna/Wharton is nearly immaterial to our end of season record.

It would be much less of an issue if Omenihu weren't also suspended.

Seriously what is it with this team and two of its expensive players hiring total dumb**** n00bs for agents?

I had never heard of any Chiefs players who had n00b agents prior to OBJ, and now this shit has happened twice.

I hope the message of what happens when you hire these assholes who don't know what they're doing manages to hit home for the rest of the team.

Two guys. One of them played on the tag for the year, and then got huffy and left the team for an offer that was far less than what the team offered the previous year. The other one if he makes good on his threat stands to lose all this money that won't be made up even if he gets Aaron Donald money.

This team isn't out to screw its players. They will make competitive yet reasonable offers to their top guys. And they will win Super Bowls. Hire a guy who's going to get a deal done, not somebody who's out to make a name for himself and attract more clients.
